4 years ago I spent $340 on a himminbird ice 35 on sale at CT. It still works perfectly. It was the best $ I have ever spent on ice fishing equipment. A few weeks ago I was at Nipissing and the bite was very slow but there were always fish there. I had 1 follow my buckshot up and down the water column for almost 10 minutes. We were fishing in 27' of water and this fish came all the way up to 4' a couple times but never took a bite only followed it around. Makes it way more interesting even when they aren't biting. Now I want to buy a camera so I see what what has no interest and just hanging around. Could of been walleye, perch or lake herring.
My thought is you spend $40 or so on an item with free shipping. The Duties & Taxes maybe added at customs and it would be for the full value of the products sold here. Which is still a big saving's I guess. They also offer an 8 man looks like Eskimo pop-up for $40 tempting yes, I know my Eskimo I got weighed a ton for the UPS driver.
My imaginary friend says, you have some serious issues....

pasnydes: I shall revise that first comment and ask if the ice is good on lake Simco. The ice here on lake Erie and its bays is iffy at best.

pasnydes: Yes I have. Ice is not real solid real firm from what ive read. looking for colder waters and thicker ice.
