OFAH will be attending Town council meeting Tues Nov 3/15 7pm at Bradford public library to propose allowing a Sunday hunting bylaw.
Any support would be appreciated.

It's basically a petition to allow hunting on Sunday's, only difference u show up not sign a sheet

It truly is more effective to show up if it is important to you as council will see people not names.
I live in Bradford 11th line but went to council meeting to supporting bylaw to operate ATV's in Innisfil, use mine to access ice fishing.
Used to be you could only hunt Sundays north of French river now approx. 168 townships have passed bylaws allowing Sunday hunting.
Between my work & kids school, I'd love every opportunity to take my son 14 & daughter 17 waterfowl hunting. Inclement one day hunt the next, make it safe & fun.
I'll go out in anything, but with my family(wife also hunts) if your not comfortable it's not fun.

As im not a hunter ,can you hunt down near the holland river Sundays ? Not sure how it works ,should be good information for every one thats into it or thinking of getting into it..  |

What i found out talking to a hunter heading out to the marsh this afternoon is you can hunt on the east side of the holland river on Sundays but not the west side Bradford/Innisfill....
Cbfb supports hunting on both sides of the march Sundays..

Town Council passed the motion to allow Sunday hunting and directed Town staff to amend the bylaws to reflect that. Just not sure when this will come into effect.
The OFAH rep Brian McRae put on a great presentation.

I SAY NO TO SUNDAY GUN HUNTING!!!!
IN MY 30 YRS OF HUNTING, ONLY THE IDIOTS WHO DONT KNOW THE REGS AND LAWS HUNT WEEKENDS!!!!
ON SAT. HUNTING DUCKS A FATHER, DAUGHTER, SON AND FREIND COME UP TRESSPASSING TO HUNT AN AREA AND SHOT 2 MERGANZERS IN 10 MINS. JUST GUNS ABLAZING RIGHT IN MY DIRECTION, SO I STOP UP AND SAID IM HERE HUNTING DONT SHOT IN MY DIRECTION!!!!
THEN THE FATHER HAS TO GET THE BIRDS CAUSE THEIR DOG IS USELESS AND HE YELLS AH shit ONLY MERGANZERS, AND THE KIDS R LIKE ARE THEY ANY GOOD TO EAT, AND THE FATHER SAID NO JUST GARBAGE DUCKS, SO I YELL WHY SHOT THEM THEN!!!!!!
WHAT A WASTE OF BIRDS!!! AND THEY LEFT RIGHT AFTER W THE 2 KIDS SAYS WE DONT WANT TO HUNT ANYMORE.
DURRING THE WEEK U HV MORE EDUCATED HUNTERS I FIND.

Town Council delayed requesting MNR for Sunday hunting that passed Nov 3/15 meeting. This is due to two ladies showing up at Nov 17/15 Council meeting to protest Sunday hunting. If you live in Town of Bradford West Gwill you need to contact your councilor to once again support Sunday hunting. These same two also want to restrict hunting in Simcoe county forests. If you don't speak up now about this, don't complain when the next restriction is discharge of firearms before 9am or something similar Councilors emails can be found at www.townofbwg.com |
