I will go to daves kids first if they're still doin that this year n pay $7 I think it was compared to the $15 max a day I read in the news article from August about the parking lot, says it will generate $12500 a year. Would much rather give the kids the money than the town. But if daves kids lot is full I'll be parking in Gilford park place since we bought a Dodge Charger this summer n don't think it will get too far on the ice lol. The van didn't seem to mind at least to the parking area

Is there access to the ice at the end of 89 in the winter for snowmobiles and taking a hut out on the ice or would the end of gilford rd be better? I like the looks of the new lot, hopefully it keeps some of the locals a little happier this year. Any idea if loading and unloading of sleds will be permitted in the new lot?

You can get on the ice both from 89 and Gilford Rd ,sleds atvs huts .im pretty sure parking at the new Gilford Parking Place will be full up , there still willbe parking on the roads in areas that dont have a no parking sign. Ill make up a map or do a video to show you were that is .

Emailed the town the other day asking if the Mayor wants to get together and do a video welcoming you to Gilford and offering our hospitality when your here . As im sure it will be paid parking , just think the town dident have to provide the parking lot but thy did ,means fishing summer and winter out of Gilford for years to come .

Not sure why the new parking area is still closed , think ill email the town again and ask them to open the lot just becouse , perhaps free untill the meters are installed , that would be a nice thing for them to do , show some xmess chear .

Will there still be free parking on the roadway or will this be the only allowed parking area now?

Well based on what im seeing with all the construction going on both on Gilford rd and 89 with the new homes , something’s going to happen with parking along the roads there , might be temporary no parking signs going up just to keep the roads clear , im not sure yet .

Thanks Peter. Hopefully safe ice is not too long away. Temp is starting to drop and the itch is getting worse. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon

You will need to get there early if you want a spot. Doesn't look like that lot has many spaces.
