I believe they have to be 400 metre s or ft it's a bylaw thing not a ministry thing

I am feeling a bit uneasy about duck hunting on lake simcoe with all the housing development, I don't like the noise personally, but I guess its perfectly legal... When does the noise/season end ?? Sure keeps the fishing boats away...  surprised the locals are OK with the sounds of shot guns, yet complain about fishermen launching boats... |

Really who cares about the home owners they bought the places knowing Thers hunting on the lake if they don't like it move somwhere else. Hunters already have enough places taken away from them. At one time they probably hunted thoes fields that are all housing now. (I don't even hunt)

They are perfectly legal to hunt there.
As long as they are "NOT" shooting towards shore at any time.
If they do it's a court date and they will lose there firearms on the Spot.
Its not a town bylaw either, Town does not own any part of the water,
It's all Federal rules only way it can be changed is by the Federal Gov"
Many ppl hunt close to shore on this side and cops always show up MNR to and like I said as long as they don't shoot towards homes they are Totally "Legal"

There's no where in Ontario that you will get away from Gun fire.. Even in Toronto they are shooting guns but its not for feeding their families.... It's for killing others that screw over a drug deal or they want to control a certain area.. That's the "Guns' you should worry about. Play Safe Flip |
