I finally get to put up a post.
Managed to get it out for opener, After many different decisions on where to go and how the set up was going to b it was finally figured out. I went out with Daffyducking and my Son-in-Law. We got up at 3am was out on a field by 530ish, After lots of old stories and memories were told. We managed 11 geese and 1 Snow goose. Thanks to Dafffyduck he wanted to stay later as I was willing to leave at 9;30am he said no way we stay till 10;30. The birds really slowed down by 10 than he said he wanted to leave at 10..... I told him NOPE I had to stay because it wasn't 10;30. Thankfully by 10:15am 6 Canada's and 1 lone snow goose was in the flock. It didn't take more than 1 sec to knock that snow down. After that we stayed another 20 mins taking lots of pics and talking about how "we" never got a snow on a field here before. I've gotten about 12 over 20yrs of hunting on the bay, so that was Awesome. Thanks for coming out for opener Daffyducking Next we hit the water and knock down some ducks. All I can say is it was AWESOME!! Hope you all had great success out there. Play Safe Flip

Congrats on a great morning of hunting.
Side note and a question. I'm still hearing shots on cooks bay right now. Isn't there no Sunday fun hunting and isn't it too late in the day? 19:54?

Thanks Guys.
We are allowed Sunday gun hunting and as for time as long as they are within the 1/2hr after sunset they are legal. I'm headed out on water today with daffyducking I wanted to wait for all the sky busters and traffic to slow down before I headed out there. Hope to get into a nice feed of ducks today. Or only the land? Good luck today. Lotsa mallards and geese at our beach today. I'll scare em off towards the marsh.

With all the hunters stagging out of Gilford as of late , seems like this is the place to be if you want to bag some birds down in the march .sweet

Thanks Peter!!
It's not that you are blind, I've only got about 12-14 in the last 20yrs of hunting on and around cooksbay. There is not many around here they get blown off course and get lost. It takes many countless hours and patience to even see them. The brant geese also come down here only at a certain time in the fall due to heavy east winds. Good Luck Play Safe Flip
