FYI holding a bass in the horizontal position from the mouth & not supporting the tail can cause damage to the fish's jaw.

Those are some nice smallies but I must say your skill at fishing outways your skill at holding fish, those fish may need a chiroprater after a visit with you.

I'd be more concerned with giving them whiplash on the hook set with the Power Pro line than jaw jarring! ;D My dad taught me to hold them that way to immobalize them when I was a kid.  I'm now 53 and that is the first time I've heard of this.  I guess there are alot of hungry fish swimming around out there. Thanks for pointing that out Zib you learn something new every day! I'll try to be more considerate in the future as it would only apply to a catch & release situation and I'm letting them go to grow!!!!!!!
